Isabelle was beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Mind you, the light was too bright and she had to squint, her eyes crusty and her head thumping with the hangover she'd been struggling with (by drinking more) for three days.

But enough was enough. She was a responsible adult, and it was time she acted like one. Isabelle stumbled to the shower, making the water as hot as she could stand as she stripped unceremoniously out of the clothes she'd slept in.

Enough was enough, she said to herself again. She was nearly 30 years old, and she needed to get a grip. No pining, no drunken anger, no moping. She had a job to do, she had a family to sort out, she had friends to support. There was no time for self-pity, and no time for unjustified anger.

Isabelle got out of the shower, towelling herself off but letting her short hair drip onto her shoulders as she padded to her bedroom. She cranked up the 'Best of the 80s' CD and began to sing along, suffering through the pain it caused, like some sort of flaggellant.

I'm gonna harden my heart
I'm gonna swallow my tears
I'm gonna turn and leave you here...

And finally she started to feel better.

I know she didn't ;) Which is a good sign.

The Richards' family keep their angst to themselves, we're stoic after all ;)

Well it is a Mal trait, it should apply to other's though. Not that Mal has ever had any angst of course ;)
