So a random morning of musings and I decided that this would be fun.  I have labelled them all 1 - 7 (I have 2 forsaken, 2 lost and 2 requiem, which leaves 1 mage) and I thought I might see if people were willing to try guessing which was which.

1) The House is immaculate, an army of servants dashes to and fro ensuring that the flowers never wilt, and that dust never settles.  The floors are white marble and the furnishings are completed  in Black satin, or velvet or silks.  The house is cold, sterile feeling.  The accents or silver and chrome, or the occasional flash of red do little to make it feel homely.

2) A detached house on a busy residential street.  There isn’t a garden so much as a patch of concrete to park a car on, though there is a garage as well.  The house is bare, minimal.  The floors are wooden laminate, and the furniture is recycled and repaired to a high quality.  In the living room there is a sofa, with 2 blankets folded on it and a small folded table to the side.  The TV is a flat screen, yet in this house it seems it was more likely purchased in this style for practicalities sake.  The bedroom is similar, the king size bed practically placed as opposed to aesthetically and a bedside cabinet with an incredibly strong lock on it, there is 1 wardrobe and a set of draws, it barely looks enough space for 2 people to live here.  The bathroom is different though, expanded into a smaller bedroom with a shower for 2 and a jacuzzi style bath.  The finishing is all practical and simple, but the small added touches of luxury look out of place in the house.  The Kitchen is different again.  A table with space for 6, yet set for 2, a fridge that is a fridge for lovers of food and a much less practical slant on the world.  The kitchen is homely, well used and well loved.

3) This house is on an expensive street, the cars around here are not cheap, and neither are the cars in the garage at the base of the house.  The living room is simple, cosy, and while there is a book case, it houses many little boxes each labelled with its contents.  One shelf seems to have 5 or 6 different e-readers in a neat row between some book ends.  On the table are 3 laptops and a stack of phones.  The kitchen is open plan to the living room and houses a well loved coffee machine.  2 large coffee tins stand next to it inscribed his and hers. up a floor the bedroom start the largest on this floor devoted to monitors, about 6 in one corner and 9 in the other, the desks beneath them claiming owner ship.  The one with only 6 monitors has a collection of brightly coloured plushies lined up along the back wall near the keyboard and the pen pot looks like it may explode in a shower of feathers and flowers at any time.  The other desk is simple, uncluttered and all about the work.  The second floor is in the middle of the decorating being finished indicating a new move.  The top floor houses the master bedroom and a nursery that has been completed with all the modern technology to ensure safety and monitoring.

4)  The cottage is set back, the path leading up to it slightly wild and overgrown though the walls enclose the garden at the back.  Inside is spacious, for a cottage, and open plan.  There is not a nook or cranny left, there are display cabinets with locked cupboards and draws and on the wall a set of lock for displaying bladed weapons.  The fireplace is for real fires and the rug in front of it is large and soft.  The furniture here is simple yet comfortable, the floors old fashioned and polished wood.  The kitchen is modern and is barely used, a place designed for show, though a wine glass on the side seems to be the only thing used regularly.  The stairs sit opposite the front door and again are open to the rest of the room.  Upstairs is equally as open, a frosted glass brick wall separates the bathroom from the bedroom.  The bed is large, and the sheets satin.  The carpet here is thick and luxurious and the furniture polished oak.  The bathroom is clean and modern, a raindrop shower and a wet floor room. There is a large roll top bath in the centre.

5) This is a large detached house and the gardens are kept immaculately, probably by a gardener.  The house seems to be kept by someone else, the decoration is against the girl who should live here, it is too old.  We pass the kitchen and the living room with its slightly outdated furniture and decoration up to a large bedroom.  In a corner is a desk with a laptop, the bookcase next to it is filled with journals and books from years of study.  On the single bed lies a set of scrubs and a lab coat complete with stethoscope which has been abandoned as the owner changed and ran out of the door.  There is a bookcase in the room with teddy bears lined up, and dolls in a row and a music box takes centre stage on the middle shelf.  The books here are well loved classics and pictures from Peter Pan decorate the walls.

6) Down here its dark, yet it feels warm.  The sand on the floor as you pass through rooms that are inhabited by other people shows nothing of the number who may live here.  There is something sacred and quiet as the walk continues.  The door opens to almost another world.  Here the underground becomes bright, vibrant, living.  The living area has books, stacks of them, children's books mostly, books about adventures and innocence lost and gained in belief, further into the rooms is an alter, this space is separated by a curtain and yet the reverence shown around here shows a devout person.  A different alcove shows a mix of the devotion and the fun, the walls depict scenes from Greek mythology, yet on the bed is a bunny blanket and a teddy bear that looks like it spent 10 years living a very hard life.

7) A large detached house in the middle of the fields.  A farm really, though not used as such. The house is more than lived in. The pushchair folded up in the entrance, bags dumped in the porch way.  The living room is tidier, homework sits on a family dinner table and a stack of papers, a table where people come to be together.  The sofa’s are old, and comfy, blankets slung loosely and DVD’s that have been watched stacked in a pile next to the TV.  The kitchen is a place where family meals are cooked, in bulk, 4 lunch boxes stack in the corner and Thermos flasks sit next to them in matching colours.  Upstairs are bedrooms, 2 have several bunks in, made up, ready, waiting, but waiting for what is unknown.  Another is the bedroom of a teenage boy, complete with games console and desk which has way too much junk on to be useful for study.  A further one is the one of a student, desk set out just right, computer, serviceable and sensibly laid out; the bed is made.  At the back of the house are 2 more bedrooms that share a bathroom, one is a small child’s room, toys slung about the place and a fort made of cushions and blankets, a feeling of playfulness and love. The other room is a room that is decorated to be a haven of tranquility, yet is used to sleep only. Photo’s line the mantle piece, they don’t have dust on the glass, in front of one lies a diamond ring  which again has no dust.  The rest of the room, from the beautifully laid out dressing table, to the window seat has a fine layer of dust from lack of use, the bed is roughly made and the pillows carry a depression where late at night, someone busy stops for a few hours.
