[Dix Piece]
Jan. 11th, 2008 12:32 pmFlicking through a pile of notes Dix calmed himself with a long drawn in scent of freshly brewed coffee - the smell enough to give him something to hold onto. With the slow tap-tap-tap of a two finger typist who needs to watch his fingers the words started to form on the screen of his laptop...
Situation regarding Viscountess Aida Ramsey,
Viscountess Ramsey has 3 main properties within the
House in Rossford
A well guarded and secure waterfront property, it's in total lockdown (it'd take a small army to get into the place). The boat is laid up over winter. Proper armed guards and dogs job.
Copper Contentment
Uptown
Blackwell Custom Motors
In Rossford industrial park, this is a mid-sized industrial unit designing and making custom cars. Fairly normal security for this type of operation, again nothing special happening here. As a note, Viscountess Ramsey's cars have a tracking device on, but her car was not taken so cannot be used to trace her location.
What Happened:
This is an "as far as I can tell", might not be accurate but gives a working theory.
Person (or persons) took Viscountess Ramsey from Copper Contentment at (time given) on the 30th December. This was after she met with a local artist (7.30pm) and during the time she was supposed to be doing some work at the gallery (9.30-11.30). After that she was supposed to be going to her house to meet with Owen Running-Deer (who was supposed to visit for a couple of days – at this point I've not asked him any
questions, and don't know if he came/saw anything. It seems unlikely he was involved).
She was on schedule till the gallery.
The eye beams (laser beams on the doors, recording when and for how long doors were opened) were broken 3 times. The third time for an extended time. Though there is some video footage of the attack, there is one blur (Viscountess Ramsey) and no sign of her attackers – I don't know if a vampire skilled in Obfuscation doesn't appear on cameras at all or not. The attack was VERY quick – I can probably get a copy of it for people – but not quicker than I'd expect an assault to go if I were the one beating on a pacifist girl. At the end of the attack her prone body was dragged away, like a rug – so someone fast, strong, and invisible did this. I suspect she's in Torpor at this point.
Viscountess Ramsey has (or more likely had) a bodyguard, a ghoul named Adam Smith. He has also vanished – it seems likely that he's dead or (less likely) was subverted to her attackers side. He hasn't surfaced anywhere. My thought goes:
* Beam break 1 – attackers coming in
* Beam break 2 – attackers leave, taking Viscountess Ramsey
* Beam break 3 – attackers take body of Adam Smith.
At this point I've not discovered if anything was taken, but it seems unlikely. Besides some blood found at the back of the gallery, the heel of a shoe and some scuff marks on the floor, there was no other evidence.
Other Information and Things to Do:
I got it from Miss Wallace that Viscountess Ramsey had been followed, or at least watched. I don't know for how long, or any other details. Normally she had at least 3/4 people with her (including Smith) but the others had been released for the night to celebrate the holidays.
At least 3 people were sent a small amount of ash, in a zip-lock bag, through the
The artist she met with earlier might have seen something – a meeting can be arranged with him.
Owen Running-Deer should be properly questioned about this, but I doubt he's seen anything.
The site of the attack should be studied by someone (or someone's) who know the Mekhet seeing arts. May also be worth asking one of them time-seeing people to do so – and using whatever miracles and magic's are available to people. All of those are things I plain don't understand.
Photos of Adam Smith and Viscountess Ramsey are attached.
Ideas and suggestions are appreciated.
Dix leant back from the computer screen, reading again the words he'd typed oh so slowly and thinking back to the phone call he'd had earlier that night where an offer of help wasn't given - it was demanded. With a sudden violence he slammed a hand heavily on the old wood of the table that served as a desk. In frustration Dix stood, turning and leaving the room. Moments later the growl of a powerful motorcycle cut through the air as he again went to quarter the streets round where she was taken, images of bloody reckoning in his head, and fear for his gentle cousin heavy in his heart.
