[Forsaken] The Hall of Heroes
Nov. 1st, 2011 11:58 pmOOC: Written for Harm, not really in continuity.
The hall was wooden with high ceilings that amplified the sound within into a wall of noise that hit almost like a hammer as you entered. The heavy doors swung open to reveal rows of wooden tables with benches running alongside them. The tables were laden with food of all kinds along with various drinks, most of which seemed to be alcoholic. The benches of the hall were filled almost to capacity with a strange collection of people. They were a mix of men and women, many of whom were dressed in armour from a wide range of cultures and time periods.
The sound levels in the hall seemed to die down slightly as a figure entered the hall. She was a young woman with blonde hair and wearing black biker leathers. As she paused in the doorway for a moment one of the figures on the benches stood up.
This figure was a woman and more modernly dressed, wearing light coloured trousers and shirt with a brown waistcoat over the top. Her long brown hair hung down her back in a plait, swaying slightly as she moved. A broad grin spread across her scarred face and as she reached the young blonde woman she enveloped her in a bear hug.
"Good to see you my sister. Didn't expect to see you here yet." Her tone of voice was a mixture of joy and sorrow.
The blonde woman returned the hug fiercely, "Sheena! I missed you."
Sheena grinned, "Well you have plenty of stories to tell me I'm sure. And I need to show you around. Lots of old warhorses to meet. Welcome to the Hall of Heroes."
Her companion's eyes grew wide for a moment, "Wow..." She sounded somewhat stunned.
Sheena's grin broadened, "You more than deserve to be here. I always knew you'd surpass me Harm."
Harm suddenly looked on the verge of tears and Sheena hugged her again, "Come on, I should show you around, and introduce you to my father..."
With that the two of them headed into the hall, a cheer rising from the figures on the benches as the doors swung closed behind them.
