She was glad she had persuaded Bron and Ellen that she’d be fine at sea, she hadn’t forgotten so much how much she missed it, but right now, wrapped in a blanket in the crows nest as she sang to her unborn child she felt the comfort of its vastness.  Looking around she slid the blanket off her shoulders and stepped out onto the cross beam grabbing the rope with a familiar balance.  The crew began yelling at her as she stepped out a little further but she almost didn’t hear them as the wind pulled at her hair.  She stepped onto the rigging and began to work her way carefully down the ropes much to the annoyance of her first mate.  As her feet hit the deck he stormed over to her and she put her hand up. “Not now, I want the star charts, something’s not right with the maelstrom and I want to check we’re on course.  She wrapped her arms around herself, protective of her large bump and as she made her way up to the stern of the ship she just knew that between them, the 3 of them could make sure everything would turn out aright.

She had got back to port in record time, and was spending her days out on the strumpet practising with her musket, much to the annoyance of her crew and Ellen.  It was a quiet evening and Bron had come aboard and the 3 girls were sat around laughing and joking while drinking copious amounts of tea.  This was family she smiled as she thought to herself and then the first pain ripped through her.  A moment or several passed and she caught her breath.  Ellen just smiled, “We need water, and it needs to be heated”  Princess called the first mate to her giving the order that he had the ship, he was to move it out of port and that if Ellen and Bron needed anything they were to be given it, he looked between the 3 girls and nodded smiling.  As he got outside the captains cabin the new cabin boy came in nervously to be a runner and all princess could hear as the second pain caught her was Bron musing to herself “I’ve Always needed to use a ships wheel”.
