Nicky opened the casket and studied the three items inside cautiously. At the sight of them, her Geist began to comment quietly.
The Orphan really really really didn't feel comfortable with the huge diamond. It reeked of blood. She told Nicky repeatedly about this as her Bound turned it over in her hands and studied it carefully.
The two tiaras were another matter.
As Nicky lifted each to the light to examine them, her Geist oohed and aahed. Nicky tried one on and her Geist was extravagant with her fulsome compliments. These were genuinely stunning pieces of jewellery - from the Romanovs, no less.
Nicky tucked her blood jewels back away in their casket with a troubled look on her face.
She was under a ban with these. She had to comply.
She was pretty sure other Sin-Eaters just would not understand. These were not, strictly speaking, hers.
More like she was theirs.
