Rebirth, renew, return - via Kath
Mar. 9th, 2011 04:38 pmShe didn't recognise the other girl. Not with her mind, anyway. But Tabitha had called her Rosemary and it brought back a flood of feelings that felt like some sort of rebirth. Her heart seemed to recognise the return of this person from her past (not family, she knew that much).
Even in all the confusion, all the pain, the hope, the panic, the victory – through it all, the other girl was like a beacon, somehow simultaneously comfortable and painful.
Tabitha had told her about her family. She’d said they'd been safe, that they'd lived through the war. How could she be anything but grateful? How could she not want to renew whatever there had been between them?
She just hoped Tabitha would still like her grown up.
