(Forsaken) The problem with family

...is that they invade your dreams. Like this one:
I'm flying. Quickly. I'm like a hawk chasing a sparrow, ducking between buildings, diving close to cars on the motorway, lifting to avoid careening into lampposts. I don't have to flap my arms except to control where I'm going.
It's awesome, actually.
Then I see my quarry: Mal Richards. I pin my arms to my sides and dive for him. This time I'm going to catch him.
He's fast too, though, and I miss. We dive and swoop, picking up speed.
Finally I do catch him. I wrap my arms around him and bring him gently to the ground and look at him intently.
"We're going to have a healthy family dynamic," I say, looking into his eyes. "If I have to kill you all to get it."
Then I wake up.
That was weird.
