[Requiem] Post Game wind down

 Its been a busy week for Lucy and lots of things have kind of pushed character development so here are just some of her thoughts that are filtering through my mind in my usual post game work through.


Lucy sat in front of the white screen staring a little blankly as the kitten pawed at her leg for attention. the irony of words spoken to her in the last week seemed to weigh heavy on her mind The path of the Maiden? thats a difficult path to walk. She had never known quite how hard it would be let alone how the actions of others occurring at that exact moment would make her wonder if she was strong enough.  She had sworn to her goddess that she would not kill, human or kindred, and she would not sire, sworn to be a maiden for as long as her vow would last.  But how long would it last now.  The emails had called for blood and people had been angry and she was angry about it all.  Now she felt alone again.  She had thought she was part of a family, but right now, this second, it all seemed so distant.  They will tear your arms and legs off and beat you to death with them he had been so graphic, but she had needed to hear it.  Somewhere in all of it she needed to wake up and realise just how ruthless everyone round her was.  He had explained how Corben had died, she hadn't wanted to hear that, she hadn't wanted to know the details, but now she needed to.  She stared at the screen again picking up the white kitten that she'd been given all those months ago to the disapproval of Evan and El.  She hugged it.
How do you say that your worried? No one else ever seems to be worried.  With Corben's death she couldn't risk that she loosing everyting that made her who she was, even if he had thought her naive.  She needed to hold onto her path, now, against all odds, more than ever.
