(Right, first of the meme things. This one is for Yoda. It's a little snippet from Tegan's durance, with a very vague mention of another PC (not by name). Lets see if anyone can spot what that is :P)
The air tingled, sending vibrations right through her… well body wasn’t the right word really. Through the stream of air which her consciousness resided. She knew that feeling well, it meant that there was a storm coming. And that meant he was angry again.
The woman who was now the East Wind gathered herself in tighter, trying to control the air around her. At all costs she had to make sure the sails did not rip. She had to hang on and not lose control when the storm hit.
Around her the air vibrated more, electric currents rippling through her, filling her with a strange and intense ecstasy which tore through her with incredible power and frayed her nerves and her concentration to breaking point. She felt alive and full of joy even as the intensity of the storm threatened to overwhelm the tenuous grip of self she had remaining.
Boom. Rumble. Crack.
The storm raged all around her now, if she had lungs or a mouth she would have screamed as it tore right through her. There was another bang, a flash and suddenly she was falling.
There was a loud crack as a naked woman hit the deck of the ship. She looked up, the storm still raged above her. Memories crowded into her head, thoughts of a family half forgotten and left behind. She had to get back home, had to make things right somehow. After everything she had seen here reconciliation with that life didn’t seem so bad.
It was a struggle but she hauled herself to her feet, her legs almost giving way again underneath her and she steadied herself against the all too real looking figurehead. A moment to breathe and then she moved to the edge of the ship and threw herself off. It was time to go home.
