"Kara, that section of the city libary of Louvain is off-limits, there is just no chance in hell you'll get in."
Arthur's words still sound in her head while she overlooks the building, and the overly arty farty statue of a scarab staked on what is supposed to be a pencil, but in reality is nothing more then an ugly iron pole.



Even at this hour of night Ladeuze square is not abandoned, and plenty of students are walking past her. None of them notice the figure clad entirely in grey standing there. Invisible to their eyes.
Nor do they notice the documents she's holding tightly, stolen from the forbidden occult section. Or the autumn leaves that fall all around her, even though there are no trees there left with leaves on them. They all feel a sudden chill on the back of their spine, for which they blame the cold nights and sudden winds.

It's only a short walk to the door, hidden behind a statue in the park, closed at night expect for those that know the way in.
She pushes it open and shivers from the winter cold, wrapping her grey woolen scarf more closer around her.
She looks different here, paler, with orange shadows around her eyes. Her green eyes as pale as watercolour paint and the black streaks in her hair more pronounced. And here, the leaves falling all around her are very much real. As is the haunting music coming from the salon of the ice castle she's standing in.
Unhurried she follows it, carefully placing the stolen documents in front of the young man before her. His icy demeanor changes little, but he can't hide the surprise in his eyes.
Sighing he hands over the box, it's ice cold to the touch.
"I didn't think you'd succeed you know..."

She smiles at him, but her eyes aren't in it.
"I survived the libary of Enki of the Moldy Tomes Arthur, this one has nothing on me..."
