Part 3/3. Last entries detail the first Cambridge Mortals game.

Day 598: SC00163. Investigation interrupted by flashing lights outside. Suspected possible orb manifestation or phosphorescent beast so decided to recon area. Sighting negative. Suspect Christmas decoration of Santa waving.

Day 603: Christmas Day. Requisite early rise and present opening. Excellent results. Stocking filled with 'Yodelling pants" which may suit converstion to an ODD. Also walking dinosaur, will be converted to FERRET.

Hung Dangerous Book for Boys Calendar on wall of OC in prep. for new year. The Year of Discovery.

Retired to gorge on turkey dinner and watch Queen's Speech. Watched Doctor Who. Steampunk robot rampage across Victorian London. Finally, science fiction gets a clue.

Day 604: Field test. Mk V suitable for jogging but proves cumbersome and awkward to bleed if gaseous bowel emissions commence due to overindulgence of sprouts. Have installed rear access panel with Velcro seal to allow safe release.

Day 607: Dad suggested trip into town to see offers in Christmas sale. Agreed. Mum decided not to accompany.
Wickes: No sale.
Screwfix Direct: No sale.
B&Q: 25% trade discount. Forgot card. Will purchase new PDS (green) and convert for field operations in conjunction with Mk V apperatus.
Argos: Sale only of domestic items.
DFS: Stopped in as saw potential hybridisation of recline mechanism. Deal arranged not to pay until 2010! 0% Finance! Elected tope finish to compliment living room decor.

Day 614: Day spent researching phenomena and working on Emergency Release Belt (ERB) for Mk V. Mechanical, no circuitry to prevent exposure to water-based electrocution. Dad and Mum engaged in argument re: fate of Tope LazeeBoy. Mechanism clearly wasted on creature comfort.

Day 619: CORPUS CLOCK CONTROVERSY! Clock clearly the work of a mildly competant mechanic with penchant for LEDs. Impressed that entire array requires only 60kw. Intend to investigate further to determine energy-saving resources for Mk V. Possible Wind-up radio technology considered. Annoyed Baylis has patent.

Day 622: Case SC00170. Laid bait boxes. Unusual accoustic phenomena in fireplace. Mk V proves effective in close environment. Minor damage to brickwork. Suspect hibernating creature. Realisation that cryptids may hibernate. Cold snap effect on behaviour possibly detrimental.

Day 625: Mk V tested at local Fortean society gathering. Noticable derision at capabilities yet several seemed eager to witness in action. Mk V held up well in awkward field test. Impersonation of Queen Ant sac successful in full equipment - demonstration of high flexibility. Flaw in crotch access hatch apparent. Rat urine greeted with disgust by uninformed. Gas mask test successful and possible airborne danger ruled out under scrutiny.

Able to catch slowly meandering crying woman whilst wearing Mk V suit with ease.

Flaw in Yodelling pants caused false suit malfunction alarm. Will install warning LED to glow when suit compromised. Hypothesise that crotch panel may be most suitable location in terms of vision. Considering purchase of Diving regulator set as extra appendages. Pressure guage could be useful addition.
