[identity profile] annwfyn.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] writing_shadows
So, Kath recently posted a story which was about her GIR character. And, as the GIR character had once been a CamUK Mortals character, and as the theme of this month's writing challenge has been 'elseworlds', this is all totally and utterly fine. But it got me thinking.

The Isle of Darkness split from the Camarilla a while ago, and I kinda figured that this comm went with it. However, I know some of our members are still members of the Camarilla, through GIR, and I don't know if they want to post stories here, if the members feel that would be appropriate or what.

Therefore, in the name of democracy, I offer a poll!

[Poll #1464465]

I'm not going to be kicking anyone off the comm - I like the current policy we have of giving any members of the Isle of Darkness, or the Camarilla from when we were part of that society, access to the comm. Posting access is something I might look at if it ever comes up, but so far it hasn't.

I'm just pondering what kind of stories should or should not be posted here.

Opinions?

NOt sure about the second bit. FOr example, Cam stuff from say January I'll happily read, but I don't want to read (here, anyway) any owod stuff, for example. I think this is just my brain compartmentalising.

I voted using the royal we. I would like to see mostly IoD stuff, but on the other hand, I would like to see more game fic in general, so...

I'd rather see this remain for IoD stories - in my opinion, the comm is for stories about the world we're all playing in, and characters we all recognise, and I'm not sure I want to read stories from another world on here...

I think it depends largely on what this community is for. Is it a space for IoD members to post creative writing in general, or is it a place for IoD fiction - flavour and stories that enhance the chronicle.

I voted for two of the more open options, but I'd like Rule 7 to be observed in all things. :-)
