Shockingly, I never posted this here. It was written for becky_spence as advice for Adrianne on combining the stage and the Autumn Court.

I'll remember forever,

Why be an ashen notary whom no-one attends?
Perhaps a Nightmare Magister would have some more friends,

That's just envy and fear
Of the strength beneath your veneer.
