(Forsaken) The problem with family

...is that they invade your dreams. Like this one:

I'm flying. Quickly. I'm like a hawk chasing a sparrow, ducking between buildings, diving close to cars on the motorway, lifting to avoid careening into lampposts. I don't have to flap my arms except to control where I'm going.

It's awesome, actually.

Then I see my quarry: Mal Richards. I pin my arms to my sides and dive for him. This time I'm going to catch him.

He's fast too, though, and I miss. We dive and swoop, picking up speed.

Finally I do catch him. I wrap my arms around him and bring him gently to the ground and look at him intently.

"We're going to have a healthy family dynamic," I say, looking into his eyes. "If I have to kill you all to get it."

Then I wake up.

That was weird.
