Battle at the Gates of Death [Forsaken]

Paul known as "Supplicant to the Mother" needed help, apparently some Pure had opened a gateway into a realm of death for some reason or other (but everyone agreed it probably wouldn't for anything nice. Having found this out Paul as a member of the lodge of Cerebus had to stop it and called on a mixed group to find the pure and drive them from the underworld so the gate could be shut.

His call was answered by Xenaphon of the Iminir, Ellis and Cody Suthar Anzuth Rahus of the Wolves of Steel, Jenny Aimsworth Cahalith of the Hifathra Hissu member of the Village Green Preservation society and Johhny Churchill Elodoth of the Mennina.

Together they moved to where the entrance to the underworld lay and with the help of an Ally of Godbinder reopened the gate and in they went, tracking for hours trying to catch the scent of the living in the land of the dead finally the pure were tracked down and finally brought to heel just outside the entrance. Churchill and Xenaphon attempted to negotiate a peaceful solution but the Pure wanted to go back into the land of the dead. Churchill responded to their threats as only he would with a well thrown Thunderflash, as the noise and light faded and the stunned Pure picked them selves up Cody and Ellis charged the lines of the Pure.

So it was that the battle came to pass with Cody and Ellis facing off against a couple of monstrous Predator Kings with the help of Xenaphon who tried to keep one target distracted while The twin engines of destruction from the Wolves of Steel did their grisly work, working as team to pull their target down they unleashed flurries of claws and bites. The Predator King attacked back slicing Cody from neck to waist with such savage power that even Cody's Uratha healing prowess would not pull these wounds together Xenaphon used his prowess to shove the Elder Predator King back into the cave away from his pack to allow Cody and Ellis to carry on their assault. More blows were traded and finally the child of Dire Wolf fell after dealing another huge blow to Cody forcing Cody to take the war form or risk having to withdraw.

Jenny and Paul took the fight to the Fire-touched while Churchill played an althetic game of tag with an Ivory Claw with a maul as big as he was, well it would be tag if Tag involved shotguns. Cody and Ellis finished off the second Predator king while Xenaphon went to help Churchill. With that the battle was quickly over with Churchill arranging for the battered unconcious Pure to be delivered back to their people and Xenaphon performing a healing rite so that Cody wouldn't die when he shifted from Urshul. Paul and Jenny went and sealed the entrance to the lands of the dead.
