Saffron opened her eyes, slowly. She had had such a good sleep… She stretched, feeling her body respond to the good long stretch.

What was that delicious scent? It smelled like grass and flowers and … oh yes. Jonathan’s Hollow.

She rubbed her eyes, taking in her surroundings. A fond smile crossed her lips and she turned to find Jonathan watching her. “Mornin’” she yawned, leaning across to kiss his cheek. No wonder she had slept so well after their activities of the night before. She’d forgotten that sex could be such good exercise. Positive endorphins were such useful chemicals and they certainly existed between herself as a very minor Spring courtier and her Dawn Court lover.

His eyes met and held hers and Saffron smiled again, this time much more broadly. Were there really any better ways to wake up than with someone you were beginning to care very deeply for? She couldn’t think of many.

She pulled him close for a cuddle.

A while later, they reluctantly left the warm bed.
